Hello! I’m Kelly Zuccaro, a dedicated freelance medical writer since 2024. Transitioning into freelance medical writing has been an exciting journey, filled with a diverse array of projects that keep me constantly engaged and learning. I thrive on exploring novel technologies, new drugs, and emerging therapeutic areas, ensuring there’s never a dull moment in my work.

With over 12 years of experience, I have cultivated a deep passion for writing about infectious diseases, mitochondrial-related diseases, and rare diseases. My portfolio includes a wide range of deliverables such as manuscripts, grants, slide decks, posters, review articles, training bulletins, executive summaries, and other continuing medical education documents. Each project allows me to blend my scientific expertise with my love for writing, creating content that is both informative and engaging. 

The best part of medical writing is the constant variety and the opportunity to dive into new and fascinating topics. I love the challenge of understanding complex medical information and translating it into clear, accurate, and impactful content. When I’m not immersed in medical writing, I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s gardening or hiking with my dogs. Dancing and traveling with my husband are also some of my favorite pastimes. These activities keep me balanced and inspired, fueling my creativity and passion for life.
